Today, at this time, Josh has
developed an infection in his good eye. He had a temperature of 102 degrees
this morning. They have gotten that down. They believe they have a handle on
the pneumonia and they are on top of that. The good news is that he did
move his left foot and left hand. With the hemorrhage on the brain from the
carotid artery, it would leave him like a stroke victim on the left side, but
there is movement and it will take some therapy to get that functional again.
He is responding to commands. All of his vital signs seem to be okay. He is
initiating his breaths, and the respirator is helping him. Other abrasions are healing. His scapula or shoulder bone, his big toe, and his ribs will
take awhile to heal, but they are healing. His pulmonary contusions, or lung
bruise, seem to be healing also. His heart rate and vitals seem to be doing okay.
To all that are concerned and
have been praying for a miracle, we have had one in Josh just being alive!
Everything else has just added to the miracle! Continue to pray for as full a
recovery as God wills.
