I spoke to Josh for quite awhile last evening. He had his
one eye open. He was very aware of what was going on around him. The doctors
have reduced his pain medication substantially. He is still struggling with his
pneumonia; however, he continues taking the treatments which are helping, but
making him weak and tired. Josh is broken-hearted about us being here with him
in California.
Tears flow from his eye. He doesn’t
understand the full scope of what he’s been through.
I want to thank all the California preachers that have responded so
well. A very special thank you to Pastor
Mike Johnson for all that he has done for Josh, Carla and me. And thank you so
much to these California
preachers who have assisted us in so many ways: Pastor Mike Ray, Pastor Steve
Nichols, Pastor Jack Trieber, Pastor John Evertson, Pastor Dick Hedger, and Pastor
Tim Ruhl. Also, thank you to Pastor Larry Stark of Iowa who was here on vacation. These men
have been so gracious with their visits, phone calls, gifts of money for
expenses, truck loads of food, and most importantly, their friendship in our
time of need.
A special thank you to each and every preacher across the nation,
who has called us, prayed for us and responded to our needs. Please continue to
pray for Josh as he makes his miraculous recovery.
