There have been so many miracles that I just want to go over
them with you and ask that you continue to pray.
- The
first miracle is the fact that Josh is alive!
To see what I have seen and to know what I know about his situation, it
just amazes me to see the Hand of God in this and the miracle that He
performed in this young man’s life!
- The
second miracle was that the boy was out of ICU within 21 days…that is
three 7’s; God’s number of perfection!
And not only that, but this took place on 7/7/07! That seems a
little ironic to me since I’m a numbers guy!
- The
third miracle was that they put him right into a Nursing Trauma unit into
a room!
- The
fourth miracle was that they moved him out of that unit within just a
short period of time and into the Acute Care Rehab.
- The
doctors are the ones who really pushed for Acute Care Rehab; and they are
doing all of it Pro Bono! What an unbelievable miracle!
- The
sixth miracle is that Josh got state funding for all of his medical bills!
What a tremendous miracle!
- The
seventh miracle is that Josh will check out of the hospital on Wednesday,
July 25, 2007!
- And
the eighth…he will be flying home with his mom and me on Thursday, July
26!
Eight is God’s number of New
Beginnings! Carla and I will be going back to being ‘mom and dad’ again
because we will be with Josh 24/7 for quite awhile. He is doing wonderfully on
his rehab. In due time, we will bring Josh to church. I ask my church folks to
please be patient with us. We just have to take it slow. He still has a long
way to go.
Josh and I spend each day laughing and cutting up all day
long. We do a lot of funny things. If you cannot laugh during the hard times in
life, you are a pretty sorry individual! He doesn’t have that big robust grin
that he always had because his mouth is in so much pain. The dentist came today
and did an X-ray. They believe there may be a hairline fracture on his chin. We
will also need to get him to a neurosurgeon when we return to Illinois so they can look at that eye and
get a protective lens for it. There will be a lot of therapy ahead of us.
Please pray for Josh over this next week. There is much to
prepare for and quite a trip for him next week. Pray for God’s strength and
continued healing on his body. Thank you so much for your love and prayers for
my family!
Sincerely, for His glory!
